Director of Self Serve

• Join Paddle, the Merchant of Record that removes payment fragmentation for digital product companies, in a full-time remote role. • Take full commercial ownership of Paddle’s self-serve motion and run it as a business line. • Carry the number end to end, from acquisition and adoption through to revenue and net retention. • Set the strategy for where and how self-serve scales, then execute against it. • Work across Finance, Product, Engineering, Demand Generation, Partnerships and RevOps. • Operate hands-on with a small, focused team that includes engineering capacity.

• Bring deep experience in a PLG or self-serve motion at a high-growth tech business. • Show that you built and owned the funnel yourself rather than a sales-assisted or enterprise motion. • Bring experience owning a revenue line, channel or segment, with instinct for unit economics. • Think like a product manager, prioritising ruthlessly and scoping experiments tightly. • Move fluently from data to commercial conclusions, separating signal from noise. • Interrogate the brief, challenge assumptions and stress-test numbers until you find the real driver. • Lead cross-functionally, bringing structure to messy multi-team programmes. • Influence roadmaps you do not control and run the cadence that holds a programme together. • Communicate with clarity and authority to executive stakeholders. • Use AI pragmatically for dynamic onboarding, predictive scoring and real-time segmentation. • Be based near a Paddle hub in the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, Canada or the US.

• Bring experience owning pricing and packaging as a growth lever. • Show experience turning partner or distribution relationships into integrated channels. • Bring experience running structured discovery and experimentation on in-product onboarding. • Show experience working alongside Finance on profitability modelling.

• Own the commercial number for self-serve, including the unit economics and how they improve. • Form a clear view of where self-serve creates value and turn it into an executable plan. • Evolve onboarding, lifecycle nurture and the in-product experience to cut time-to-value. • Define the customer profile that makes the economics work, and co-own the funnel with Demand Generation. • Codify the work into clear streams with clear owners, and influence Product, Engineering and Risk roadmaps. • Work with Partnerships to turn distribution relationships into well-integrated channels. • Design and run the experimentation, tooling and tracking behind activation and conversion. • Own self-serve pricing and packaging with Finance to ensure profitable scale. • Shape the team around the motion as it grows.
