Business Analyst

• Play a pivotal part in driving customer profitability, improving gross margins, and optimising cost structures at Paddle. • Turn complex financial data into insights that directly influence revenue growth, pricing strategies, and operational efficiency. • Work closely with cross-functional teams across Finance, Product, Go-To-Market, and Operations in a company building an analytical culture that empowers data-driven decision-making.

• Have a proven track record in Data or Business Analysis, ideally within a tech or SaaS environment. • Be technically proficient in SQL, Google Sheets, and BI/visualisation platforms such as Omni, Tableau, Looker, or Power BI. • Be a creative problem-solver with an inventive, resourceful approach to tackling ambiguous data challenges. • Be a critical thinker able to break down complex commercial models and translate detailed data into clear, high-impact recommendations. • Be an effective communicator skilled at presenting insights clearly to stakeholders across functions and building strong collaborative relationships. • Be detail-oriented and resilient, thorough with data accuracy and precise in calculations while navigating a dynamic environment with complex challenges.

• Have experience in finance, pricing, margin analysis, or payments. • Have experience partnering with Data Engineering teams to define requirements and ensure efficient data models for commercial and financial reporting. • Have experience building and maintaining BI dashboards and visualisations for cross-functional teams. • Have experience in a payments, fintech, or merchant-of-record business.

• Evaluate pricing initiatives and commercial strategies, modelling scenarios to help optimise revenue generation and measure business impact. • Analyse key drivers of customer profitability, margins, and cost of sales to highlight opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction, and growth. • Perform in-depth analytical work to uncover trends, translating complex datasets into clear, practical recommendations. • Partner with Data Engineering and analytics teams to define requirements and ensure efficient data models are built for commercial and financial reporting. • Build, maintain, and enhance BI dashboards and visualisations to ensure critical metrics remain visible, accurate, and actionable across teams. • Work alongside stakeholders across Finance, Product, Go-To-Market, and Operations to translate analytical insights into action and track their long-term impact. • Advocate for data-informed decision-making across the business, helping refine analytical processes and improving data accuracy over time.
