• Own a product surface and make it better end to end, without waiting for an engineer to do it for you. • Build alongside engineers, who create the safe surfaces you ship on and step in when you reach the edge of what is safe to touch alone. • Take on a first surface that could be Nora and the AI agents, Open Banking and subscriptions, or simply whatever is most broken. • Improve how the customer-facing WhatsApp agent handles real conversations, build the evals that show whether it is getting better, and tighten recovery flows. • Dig into the subscription data, spot patterns, and build the logic deciding what is worth cancelling or flagging, then automate the cancellations. • Turn rough, messy problems into something shipped and improving as new products and surfaces appear. • Expect the role to shift, as Nous has never hired this profile directly before and you would be the first brought in. • Work office-first near Farringdon, with pragmatism about heads-down work.

• Build without precise instructions, starting from a problem and some context rather than waiting for a spec. • Bring a background as a founder, an early PM, or the generalist who ends up owning whatever nobody else will. • Use AI tooling such as Claude Code or Cursor as your actual working environment for prototyping, querying data, navigating systems, and automating your own work. • Recognise which problems have become far easier with the right tools and which have not. • Stay technically fearless but humble about your limitations, getting under the bonnet, reading enough code to be dangerous, and writing a bit of SQL. • Pick up new tools before anyone hands them to you, and judge well when to ask for help. • Bring product judgement, telling a real problem from a shiny one and killing your own ideas as readily as backing them. • Frame work around what changes for the member. • Have owned something real before, as this is not a first job and you will be trusted with a surface early. • Work office-first near Farringdon.

• Bring something you built and shipped yourself, whether a startup, a side project, or an internal tool that took off. • Bring experience with LLMs, agents, or evals. • Bring experience with messy real-world data across Open Banking, financial, or operational sources. • Bring startup experience where you wore several hats and none of them fit. • Get in touch anyway if you do not tick every box but think you would be great at this.

• Take a product problem from rough to shipped, using AI tooling as your main working environment. • Answer your own questions by writing the query yourself rather than filing a ticket and waiting. • Ship on the safe surfaces, covering prompts, agent behaviour, configuration, workflows, data pipelines, and internal tools. • Know where the edge is and pull in an engineer before crossing it. • Live close to the user, reading conversations and watching where the product delights people or falls over, and let that drive what you build next. • Own the outcome, treating a feature as done only when it is working for members.
