Senior Software Engineer - Python & AI

• Join Nearform’s Engineering function in a full-time, permanent role open to candidates based in the UK. • Design and build applications using Python and AI tools as your main focus. • Work closely with clients to translate complex business requirements into innovative digital products. • Collaborate with distributed teams using cutting-edge technologies to build secure, high-performance applications. • Work across a variety of client projects, from component design and data storage to performance optimisation. • Travel to client sites within the UK and Europe, with travel expenses covered by the company. • Work remotely with a flexible schedule that fits around life commitments such as the school run. • Note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

• Bring significant experience delivering at Senior Engineer level. • Bring deep knowledge and experience of Python and modern AI frameworks. • Bring hands-on experience in AI application development. • Bring practical experience delivering in an agile environment. • Bring practical experience developing real-world solutions. • Bring a deep understanding of version control tools such as Git. • Test confidently at all levels, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, using the relevant tools. • Bring practical, real-world experience working with databases and cloud environments. • Bring experience with automation, CI, and CD. • Build software collaboratively using pull requests and code reviews. • Communicate and collaborate excellently, with professional proficiency in English. • Be based in the UK with the existing right to work, as visa sponsorship is not available.

• Design and build applications using Python and AI tools. • Support component design, development, and maintenance while owning your personal technical quality standards. • Help define structured practices for source code management, builds, and deployment. • Design and implement data storage solutions. • Optimise application performance for maximum speed and scalability. • Gather feedback from users and clients and build solutions around it. • Help analyse client requirements. • Support Technical Leaders in project execution and timely delivery. • Collaborate closely with client teams, including on-site visits across the UK and Europe.
