• Lead a team of 10–12 Fraud Investigators within Monzo's EU Fraud Customer Operations, helping protect Monzo EU and its customers.
• Build a brand-new Spanish-speaking fraud team from scratch, with scope to scale for future growth as Monzo expands into Europe.
• Cover fraud tasks across Prevention, Unauthorised and Authorised Fraud, and Bank communications.
• Work fully remote from anywhere in the UK, with a fixed start date of 12th October.
📋 Job Requirements
• Be fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
• Have strong experience of team leadership across Fraud within the financial services sector.
• Demonstrate a proven ability to drive excellent performance through others.
• Have strong knowledge and experience in the financial sector, with previous experience carrying out fraud investigations.
• Have knowledge of the current financial crime landscape in the UK and the EU, and associated fraud risks.
• Be flexible with working hours to meet customer demand, including infrequent weekend working, within the 8am–6.30pm coverage window.
• Be available to start on 12th October and commit to the first 6 weeks without holidays or time off.

🎯 Responsibilities
• Conduct quality checks on senior fraud investigators to drive performance and identify coaching opportunities.
• Handle feedback from L20 Investigators and work alongside the EU Senior Manager and EU Operations analysts to improve processes and guidance.
• Manage the personal and professional development of a team of senior investigators.
• Foster a positive, supportive, and high-performance culture in the team with high levels of engagement.
• Chair employee relations cases and make decisions consistent with Monzo's values.
• Work with the Senior Manager on building the EU team from scratch and planning how to scale for future growth.
• Hold weekly meetings with team members individually and as a team to ensure everyone is informed, engaged, and performing.
• Aggregate team feedback and feed it into operational leadership to ensure continuous improvement on processes and tooling.
• Act as an interviewer in hiring processes and help shape the team as it continues to grow.
