💼 What you will do

• Lead Monzo's Fraud & Disputes Risk team as Fraud Director, working as part of the wider Fraud & Disputes Group Leadership Team. • Be at the forefront of innovation, employing the latest technologies to craft prevention-first tools that keep Monzo several steps ahead of criminals. • Work across Monzo's global teams covering all product lines including current accounts, business banking, borrowing, and wealth. • Work remotely from anywhere in the UK or from Monzo's London or Cardiff offices, with flexible working hours.

📋 Job Requirements

• Have significant experience leading highly effective risk teams, ideally in a regulated and fast-paced environment. • Have deep knowledge of fraud regulations in the UK and EU. • Know how to work hand-in-hand with Product, Engineering, and Data teams, finding the balance between a product-led mindset and deep fraud risk expertise. • Have experience prioritising and developing innovative fraud management strategies, using the latest technology to scale and implement them. • Quickly and confidently understand, articulate, and respond to emerging trends and risks across the fraud landscape. • Speak to and influence senior internal and external stakeholders with confidence and in line with Monzo's values. • Be a great manager and coach with a track record of developing high-performing teams, using continuous feedback to empower individuals and drive tangible impact. • Be data-driven with the ability to self-serve and use technology to solve problems and identify opportunities.

• Have experience leading fraud risk teams specifically within a digital bank or fintech environment. • Bring experience building and embedding fraud controls across multiple product lines simultaneously. • Have experience working across global teams and managing fraud risk in multiple jurisdictions. • Bring experience with machine learning and AI-powered fraud detection and prevention systems. • Have experience creating a positive team culture across a large, cross-functional fraud group.

• Lead the Fraud & Disputes Risk team at Monzo, working as part of the wider Fraud & Disputes Group Leadership Team. • Build strong and trusted relationships with Fraud Product, Engineering, Data, and Operations teams. • Work collaboratively to build and embed effective fraud controls and processes for customers while creating a positive culture across the Fraud Group. • Work across Monzo's global teams covering all product lines including current accounts, business banking, borrowing, and wealth. • Employ the latest technologies to craft and develop prevention-first tools that keep Monzo ahead of criminals. • Ensure the continued trust and safety of customers by staying at the forefront of fraud innovation. • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team using continuous feedback to empower individuals and drive tangible impact.
