Solutions Engineer

• Act as the technical guide across the customer lifecycle, from evaluation and close through onboarding and expansion. • Partner most closely with Sales to drive revenue through technical discovery, demos, proof-of-concepts, and solution design for prospects and existing customers. • Stay engaged through onboarding to ensure technical continuity, then hand off clearly to Customer Success with the context, decisions, risks, and next steps. • Codify repeatable patterns through demo environments, migration and integration playbooks, and enablement for new sales hires. • Work from Linear's Shoreditch office 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday), with flexibility around scheduling.

• Have 5+ years in a Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales, or similar role at a high-growth SaaS company, including support for enterprise-scale deals. • Bring strong hands-on experience with OAuth2 and GraphQL, data migrations, and product integrations. • Communicate excellently, presenting complex technical concepts clearly to both engineers and executives. • Have experience with GitHub and git. • Show a proven ability to build realistic, scalable demo environments and troubleshoot production issues. • Work collaboratively, having partnered across Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams. • Be comfortable with SQL and scripting in Python or JavaScript.

• Have hands-on experience with Linear or Jira. • Hold a computer science degree or come from an engineering background. • Have run security and architecture reviews as part of enterprise evaluations. • Have built technical enablement or training for sales and post-sale teams.

• Act as the customer's technical advisor across the lifecycle, partnering with Sales and Customer Success to keep continuity from evaluation through onboarding and expansion, focused primarily on pre-sales revenue impact. • Lead technical discovery and architecture for strategic prospects and existing customers, translating customer workflows into Linear configuration, data model, permissions, and integration patterns. • Run pre-sales technical evaluations end-to-end, delivering tailored deep-dive demos, proof-of-concepts, security and architecture reviews, and integration workshops that remove deal risk and accelerate time to close. • Design and execute migrations and implementation plans that set customers up for long-term success. • Provide clear handoffs to post-sale teams covering context, decisions, risks, and next steps. • Build and maintain realistic, scalable demo environments and reference configurations that mirror enterprise workflows and let Sales tell a credible, repeatable story. • Codify lifecycle playbooks and enablement, creating technical training for sales and post-sale teams, curating exemplars, and improving the technical sales motion.
