Senior Software Engineer

• Join Awin as a Senior Software Engineer, with roles open in London and cities across Europe. • Own the design, build, and operation of scalable, high-quality systems within an award-winning marketing platform. • Join the Tracking tribe, a cross-functional team at the core of the business. • Build and evolve the tracking platform that underpins Awin’s affiliate marketing network. • Ensure accurate attribution, reliable reporting, and partner trust across advertisers and publishers. • Shape technical direction, influence engineering practices, and mentor other engineers. • Work a four-day Flexi-Week at full pay, with no reduction to your annual holiday allowance.

• Bring significant commercial experience in backend software engineering, with a track record of delivering production-grade systems. • Work confidently in one or more backend languages such as Java, Python, .NET, or Node.js. • Bring experience designing and building microservices, APIs, and distributed systems. • Understand event-driven architectures, messaging, and high-volume data processing patterns. • Bring strong system design skills and make pragmatic technical trade-offs. • Bring experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure as code tooling such as Terraform. • Bring strong knowledge of testing strategies, CI/CD, and engineering quality practices. • Debug and solve problems analytically in complex distributed environments. • Bring experience with observability tools, metric dashboards, alerting, and operational monitoring. • Communicate excellently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Bring cloud experience on AWS specifically, which Awin prefers. • Bring experience with high-volume tracking, attribution, or measurement systems. • Bring experience mentoring engineers and raising team technical standards. • Bring experience working across distributed, multi-country engineering teams.

• Own the end-to-end delivery and operation of features and services. • Design, build, and evolve scalable, secure, and maintainable systems. • Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions. • Improve existing applications, reduce technical debt, and strengthen reliability. • Work with Product Managers to turn business needs into technical solutions. • Identify and address technical risks, performance issues, and scalability challenges. • Champion engineering quality through testing, code reviews, tooling, and best practices. • Troubleshoot complex production issues and support system resilience. • Mentor engineers and contribute to the team’s technical growth. • Improve team processes across planning, delivery, and retrospectives. • Collaborate with local and remote teams across the organisation.
