Senior Software Engineer

• Take ownership of designing, building, and operating scalable, high-quality systems within Awin's tracking platform, the backbone of the affiliate marketing network ensuring accurate attribution, reliable reporting, and partner trust. • Shape technical direction, influence engineering practices, and drive improvements across the Tracking tribe and wider organisation. • Join a four-day Flexi-Week company hiring across Amsterdam, Iași, London, Madrid, Milan, and Warsaw.

• Bring significant commercial experience in backend software engineering with a track record of delivering production-grade systems. • Have experience with one or more backend languages such as Java, Python, .NET, or Node.js. • Demonstrate experience designing and building microservices, APIs, and distributed systems. • Hold a good understanding of event-driven architectures, messaging, and high-volume data processing patterns. • Show strong system design skills with the ability to make pragmatic technical trade-offs. • Have experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of testing strategies, CI/CD, and engineering quality practices. • Bring strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills especially in complex distributed environments. • Have experience with observability tools, metric dashboards, alerting, and operational monitoring. • Communicate excellently with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Bring experience working on tracking, attribution, or ad-tech systems at scale. • Have experience with high-volume data processing pipelines in a production environment. • Show experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team technical growth. • Demonstrate experience leading technical design discussions and contributing to architectural decisions. • Hold experience improving team processes across planning, delivery, and retrospectives. • Bring familiarity with the affiliate marketing or performance marketing domain.

• Own the end-to-end delivery and operation of features and services. • Design, build, and evolve scalable, secure, and maintainable systems. • Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions. • Improve existing applications, reduce technical debt, and strengthen reliability. • Collaborate with Product Managers to turn business needs into technical solutions. • Identify and address technical risks, performance issues, and scalability challenges. • Champion engineering quality through testing, code reviews, tooling, and best practices. • Troubleshoot complex production issues and support system resilience. • Mentor engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth. • Improve team processes across planning, delivery, and retrospectives. • Collaborate effectively with local and remote teams across the organisation.
