Product Operations Lead

• Join Awin, part of the Axel Springer group, as Product Operations Lead in London, Berlin, or Amsterdam. • Own the product and portfolio operating model, connecting strategy, planning, prioritisation, and governance. • Take accountability for the quality, consistency, and transparency of work flowing into and out of Product & Technology. • Lead and develop a team of Product Operations Managers. • Work hands-on, designing and landing changes personally rather than only setting direction. • Partner with the leads of Delivery Operations and Technical Program Management as part of the P&T Operations leadership team. • Work a four-day Flexi-Week at full pay, with no reduction to your annual holiday allowance.

• Bring a background in product or technology operations within SaaS. • Show experience designing and running planning and portfolio models at organisational scale. • Show a track record of building planning, governance, or prioritisation systems that outlasted your involvement. • Use data confidently to describe the health of an operating system and make the case for change. • Apply systems thinking while still working in the detail, from spotting strain in the model to fixing a single broken handover. • Bring a strong sense of craft and quality, raising the standard of work without turning it into a compliance exercise. • Lead hands-on, coaching people through their own decisions rather than making decisions for them. • Stay pragmatic about method and communicate clearly in writing and in the room. • Make complex topics simple enough for stakeholders outside Product & Technology to act on. • Be able to work on a hybrid basis from London, Berlin, or Amsterdam.

• Bring experience with the Atlassian suite and setting tooling standards within it. • Bring experience building portfolio views and reporting that leadership trusts. • Bring experience working alongside delivery operations or technical program management functions. • Bring experience working across international, multi-country teams.

• Set the direction for how Product & Technology plans, prioritises, and reviews its work. • Own strategy and planning cadences, portfolio governance, decision rights, and dependency visibility. • Define what a ready opportunity looks like and hold that standard across the organisation. • Ensure problems are well understood, evidence supports the opportunity, and success measures and ownership are clear. • Give Product Operations Managers a clear remit, coach them in their craft, and build their careers deliberately. • Design and land improvements personally, including intake routes, planning cadences, and Atlassian tooling standards. • Build portfolio views that leadership trusts. • Work with Delivery Operations and Technical Program Management leads so the three systems reinforce each other. • Measure delivered outcomes consistently and feed them back into the next planning cycle.
