Head of Forward Deployed Engineering EMEA

• Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related field. • Bring 7+ years of experience managing software engineering teams at scale. • Show experience delivering AI/ML solutions in production, including 0-to-1 work as a founding or forward-deployed engineer. • Have deep expertise in applied AI/ML, including generative AI, LLMs and agent-based frameworks. • Write Python, JavaScript or similar languages proficiently. • Bring experience with APIs, microservices and enterprise integration. • Solve complex, ambiguous problems in rapidly changing environments. • Influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. • Bring experience with AI risk assessment, data privacy and compliance such as GDPR. • Show a track record of aligning technical solutions with business goals.

• Bring experience with Atlassian Intelligence, Rovo AI or other AI-powered Atlassian features. • Know regulated industries such as finance or healthcare. • Show experience deploying AI solutions to complex production systems at scale. • Bring prior experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.

• Hire, onboard and retain top talent while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. • Coach the team on AI/ML solution design, code quality, scalable architecture, testing and documentation. • Ensure rapid, high-quality delivery of production-ready, customer-focused solutions. • Analyse complex datasets to extract insights and inform product direction. • Champion AI-augmented workflow automation within customer environments. • Oversee end-to-end production deployment with continuous evaluation, monitoring and improvement. • Navigate AI risk, data privacy and regulatory requirements. • Explain complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Align technical solutions with business objectives and measurable results.
