Compliance Manager: Group Regulatory Compliance

• Shape and execute Wise’s core compliance frameworks within a global, rapidly expanding fintech. • Make sure Wisers globally adhere to regulatory requirements, ethical boundaries, and internal policy frameworks. • Report into the Group Regulatory Compliance team and manage a global remit. • Cover anti-bribery and corruption, donations, gifts and entertainment, third party due diligence, conflicts of interest, and general compliance matters. • Build things from scratch and future-proof programmes as Wise scales. • Stay flexible and pick up work elsewhere in the team, as the work is busy and varied. • Collaborate with compliance officer networks across North America, APAC, and Europe to harmonise core ethics standards. • Work from London, three days in the office and two from home, on 9am to 6pm hours.

• Bring 5+ years of proven experience in Financial Crime Compliance, Regulatory Compliance, or Governance within a financial institution, bank, mature fintech, or another highly regulated or publicly traded business. • Bring a deep understanding of the UK Bribery Act, US FCPA, and global standards on conflicts of interest. • Bring strong baseline knowledge of individual accountability regimes such as SMCR or regional equivalents. • Know general retail consumer protection legislation. • Build the processes, automated workflows, and approval hierarchies that make regulation workable, rather than only reading the rules. • Leverage software and platforms to manage processes and spot opportunities to improve them. • Draft exceptionally well, explaining complex regulatory concepts to non-compliance audiences without losing nuance. • Hold unwavering ethical standards and give constructive feedback to senior leaders when navigating conflicts or accountability boundaries. • Diagnose root causes from compliance metrics or policy breaches and engineer lasting procedural fixes. • Work self-motivated across regions with a can-do attitude.

• Bring an entrepreneurial streak and enjoy picking up projects that are half-finished or completely blank. • Turn ambiguous concepts into clean, robust, scalable operational workflows from day one. • Bring experience replacing manual compliance tracking with automation-first solutions. • Build automated tech solutions to track registers, simplify disclosures, and report compliance metrics. • Bring experience running Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessments. • Enjoy partnering with People teams, Compliance Learning, and Third Party Risk Management to embed initiatives globally. • Bring a passion for delivering engaging Ethics and Compliance presentations across a business.

• Design, implement, and maintain the global frameworks for Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Gifts, Entertainment and Hospitality, and Conflicts of Interest, aligned to local regulation in every operating jurisdiction. • Oversee how teams across Wise implement the processes that support those frameworks. • Own the operational design and enforcement of global registers, socialising the associated policies and standards across the business. • Lead Wise’s Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment where required. • Prepare high-quality governance reports and Management Information for the Board and Senior Management, highlighting emerging trends and control effectiveness. • Own the framework for vendor and partner compliance, running due diligence checks and reviewing red flag reports on third parties and suppliers. • Manage and scale Wise’s alignment with global individual accountability regimes, including executive responsibility mapping and Fit and Proper assessment frameworks. • Oversee the compliance investigation pathway for internal policy breaches, with root-cause analysis to prevent future gaps. • Provide group-wide horizon scanning, testing, and monitoring against evolving consumer protection legislation and payment transparency standards. • Look for opportunities to enhance, automate, and streamline compliance activity.
