Backend Software Engineer

• Join a brand-new engineering hub in London as one of its foundational Backend Software Engineers. • Build a completely new team and hub from scratch, working remotely from the rest of the global Tech organisation. • Help define, build, and deliver product features as an integral part of a new product team. • Work towards specific outcomes with the freedom and responsibility to figure out the best way to achieve them alongside your team. • Refine, design, implement, deliver, and maintain an international top-class product with quality, maintainability, and sustainability in mind. • Work with a scalable Spring Boot application running on Java 25 in Kubernetes, deployed multi-region on AWS. • Run a full development environment locally for a great developer experience. • Work hybrid from the London office.

• Bring a wealth of experience in backend development within the Java ecosystem. • Bring proven production experience with Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, a message system, and Git. • Bring experience with Domain Driven Design and Clean or Hexagonal Architecture. • Bring knowledge of AWS services such as SQS, SNS, and S3, plus ElasticSearch, Redis, Docker, and Kubernetes. • Bring experience with RESTful APIs. • Bring experience building scalable solutions. • Enjoy actively participating in a cross-functional product team. • Take pride in writing quality code. • Submit your CV and cover letter in English through the Too Good To Go platform, as applications by email or LinkedIn are not accepted.
