Senior Manager, Product Designer

• Lead the design strategy for the Train team, owning all training, coaching, and plans experiences across Runna's iOS, Android, and Apple Watch apps. • Balance hands-on design work with people leadership — managing and coaching 2 product designers through regular feedback and clear direction. • Solve complex design problems with simplicity and beautiful interfaces, prototyping and storytelling to present the value of your ideas. • Champion accessible design and set a high bar for quality, consistency, and craft including interaction, animations, and haptics. • Collaborate with the wider Strava team on shared experiences that extend beyond the Runna app.

• Have lead or manager experience with hands-on design contribution — not a purely management role. • Have previous experience managing at least 2 designers. • Be a design generalist bringing visual craft, accessibility considerations, great interactions, and deep UX understanding. • Love speaking to users to understand their needs and solve problems effectively. • Understand how to use quantitative data to inform design decisions. • Have exceptional attention to detail that elevates designs through interaction, animations, and haptics. • Have advanced Figma and prototyping skills. • Be comfortable taking initiative and collaborating in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
