Regulatory Counsel (Data Protection & AI)

• Advise on compliance and legal issues around data protection and artificial intelligence as a Senior Legal Counsel. • Report to the Head of Legal for Data Protection and AI in London. • Choose to be based in a European office, work remotely, or work hybrid. • Take on a breadth of work and level of commercial involvement that is unusual for an in-house role. • Hold a large degree of responsibility for Revolut’s ongoing growth. • Join a Legal team that turns complexity into clarity, giving practical advice that lets the business move fast while staying protected. • Engage and work alongside regulators in multiple countries. • Work remotely from the UK, or from the London office, with the role also open in Ireland.

• Bring 4+ years PQE. • Bring excellent academic and law firm credentials. • Bring experience advising on privacy, data protection, and AI matters in the UK or the EU. • Show a demonstrated track record of providing privacy and data protection legal advice. • Bring some experience providing AI legal advice, alongside genuine interest in the area. • Bring experience providing detailed product counselling on innovative, customer-facing products. • Bring sound judgement, composure under pressure, and a collaborative mindset. • Make decisions confidently where there is ambiguity or incomplete information. • Bring exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills. • Speak fluent English.

• Hold additional privacy and data protection qualifications. • Bring experience of complex international data transfers under GDPR. • Bring experience handling data breaches and drafting supervisory authority notifications. • Bring experience negotiating data protection clauses with third parties. • Bring experience working across multiple jurisdictions with counsel in other countries. • Enjoy hands-on work rather than purely supervisory legal roles.

• Advise the business on privacy, data protection, and AI legal issues around structuring and marketing new and existing products. • Make sure privacy, data protection, and AI considerations sit at the core of the feature launch review process. • Draft and negotiate contractual data protection and AI clauses with third parties and other Revolut entities. • Advise on complex international data transfers and structure them to meet GDPR requirements. • Assist with data breaches, including drafting breach notifications for supervisory authorities. • Draft and maintain customer-facing privacy notices, explainers, and cookie policies. • Liaise with global Legal Counsels on matters spanning multiple jurisdictions. • Support Data Subject Rights teams on complex requests requiring legal review. • Engage and work alongside regulators in multiple countries. • Stay on top of legal, regulatory, and industry developments and advise on them. • Lead by example while performing hands-on work to manage complex legal tasks quickly.
