📋 Job Requirements
• Bring 4+ years of experience in Onboarding or Credit Risk.
• Bring 2+ years of experience in Merchant Acquiring, E-Commerce, or a similar role at a FinTech.
• Bring 3+ years of experience in team management, having previously line-managed teams.
• Be comfortable working with teams across multiple time zones.
• Bring a positive attitude and enjoy supporting and nurturing others.
• Bring solutions to the table and be willing to point out where things are going wrong.
• Communicate excellently as a fluent English speaker and writer, translating risk decisions into customer-appropriate narratives.

• Line-manage the Onboarding Risk function across all regions, aligning priorities, coverage, and decision standards, and ensuring consistent, high-quality risk decisions and throughput.
• Manage, coach, and develop team members and team leads, setting clear goals, feedback rhythms, and performance standards.
• Act as a subject-matter expert for onboarding processes (KYB, KYC, screening, final reviews), risk assessment, and decisioning frameworks.
• Provide expert support on complex or high-risk applications, handling escalations and judgement-based decisions with sound reasoning, even with incomplete information.
• Own onboarding risk procedures, documenting, maintaining, and continuously improving processes, controls, and playbooks internally and externally.
• Partner with leaders and peers beyond your domain (Sales, Customer Support, Operations, Engineering) to deliver both strong risk outcomes and an excellent customer experience, unblocking decisions and driving process improvements.
• Provide expertise on card scheme rules and global payments legislation, ensuring processes reflect evolving requirements.
• Evolve the KPI structure with the Head of Risk & Compliance, helping the team meet its goals while fostering a supportive, inclusive environment.
