Field Quality Supervisor – Solar

• Join Octopus Energy Services, part of Octopus Energy Group, in a full-time UK-based field role. • Help drive the renewable energy revolution by supporting thousands of domestic solar PV installations. • Make sure customer installations meet technical specifications before and after they go ahead. • Work directly with the internal low carbon product design team. • Lead and build a capable, efficient technical support team. • Travel nationwide with a company car provided.

• Bring expert technical knowledge of domestic solar PV systems and a proven track record of installing them. • Hold a City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification. • Hold an AM2 qualification. • Hold the 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification. • Hold the 2394/2395 test and inspection qualification. • Hold a Solar PV qualification. • Communicate well with customers and colleagues. • Work effectively as part of a team. • Travel nationwide across the UK.

• Bring previous experience leading or supervising a technical team. • Show experience with solar inverter apps and desktop software. • Bring experience reviewing site surveys for installation viability. • Show experience supporting sales teams with technical customer questions.

• Build and lead a capable, flexible technical team with high standards and a positive culture. • Make sure every survey passing through the design team is technically viable for installation. • Review and improve the technical check and support process so it stays fit for purpose. • Help the sales team answer customers’ technical questions. • Apply technical rigour wherever there is a risk to installation. • Support customers with app and desktop inverter software. • Resolve technical issues during and after installation. • Help spread the word about Octopus’s low carbon products.
