Product Engineer (All Levels)

• Build a world-class product used regularly by millions of people, figuring out what it takes to absorb household complexity around bills, insurance, subscriptions, and more. • Work across two modes: building the product directly (new product lines, core improvements, experiments) and building multipliers (safe surfaces and shared tooling that let non-engineers ship without breaking things). • Report directly to the CTO and be in the room for key architectural and product decisions, organised around small product squads of 5–7 people.

• Bring a minimum of 2 years of professional engineering experience. • Own problems end to end, going from fuzzy pain to shipped fix to the numbers that show it worked, instinctively asking "what's the smallest thing we can ship to learn?". • Think like a PM as much as an engineer, caring about the problem, the user, flow, UX, and even copy as much as correctness. • Be a pragmatic builder who writes clean, practical code others can extend, knowing when to abstract and when to keep it brutally simple. • Build leverage for other people by explaining complex things simply, pairing on gnarly problems, and leaving things clearer than you found them. • Be motivated by the problem of fairness, money, and complexity made manageable for people who don't have time to fight the system themselves.

• Have experience with full-stack TypeScript, React, Postgres, and Temporal for long-running orchestration. • Bring familiarity with AWS, Terraform, and observability tools such as Sentry and Datadog. • Have experience with data tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Amplitude, or Segment. • Have experience building agentic systems or AI-powered tooling. • Bring experience working in fast-growing startups or 0-to-1 product environments.

• Take end-to-end ownership of high-leverage areas of the codebase, from building out agentic capabilities to scaling service logic. • Build new product lines and core product improvements, working with one or two others and moving fast from a rough plan. • Build multipliers — safe surfaces and shared tooling that let non-engineers ship without breaking things. • Work within small product squads with a single shared objective, shipping and learning fast. • Contribute to the team's agentic and tooling harness that enables fast, reliable delivery. • Shape architectural and product decisions alongside the CTO and engineering team.
