Tech Lead

• Join Nearform’s Engineering function in a permanent, full-time remote role open to candidates based in the UK. • Lead and guide development teams while working directly with clients. • Translate business and technical requirements into impactful, secure, and scalable applications. • Provide both technical and line-management leadership to your team. • Shape architectural decisions and take responsibility for successful project delivery. • Work across a variety of client projects, ideally using JavaScript technologies or Python. • Work remotely with a flexible schedule that fits around life commitments such as the school run.

• Bring significant software engineering experience as a Senior Engineer leading projects and mentoring, or as a Technical Lead. • Bring experience working directly with clients or customers to understand technical requirements. • Bring experience leading engineering teams through technical delivery, via direct line management or mentoring. • Bring a deep understanding of agile ways of working, best practices, and design patterns. • Bring a deep understanding of test-driven development and testing best practices. • Bring a deep understanding of version control tools such as Git. • Understand DevOps practices and cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. • Understand operational concerns, including monitoring, performance testing, security, accessibility, and GDPR. • Lead with empathy and strong people skills. • Be based in the UK.
