Forward Deployed Strategist

• Join Nearform as a Forward Deployed Strategist, working fully remotely from the UK. • Work out where each client really is on their AI journey and shape the right solution for them. • Help leadership teams choose which process to tackle first, or turn a rough idea into something engineers can build. • Work hands-on and close to the technology, rather than writing strategy decks that sit on a shelf. • Partner with a forward deployed engineer to design better ways of working and test them against what can actually be built. • Help define how a brand-new team combining strategy thinking and engineering depth operates as it grows.

• Bring at least 10 years in consulting, business analysis, operations improvement or a similar role. • Show a track record of mapping business processes and redesigning them with real stakeholders. • Present with confidence to client stakeholders, including the C-suite, and run workshops and frontline interviews. • Build business cases that turn operational improvements into numbers a CFO will believe. • Know what AI and automation can and cannot do well enough to hold your own with engineers. • Write sharp, clear documents that turn messy conversations into actionable plans. • Spend time on client sites when needed.

• Use tools like Claude Cowork, Lovable or Replit to spin up quick proofs of concept. • Work in short cycles and test ideas quickly rather than waiting for a perfect plan. • Craft compelling storylines for presentations, quarterly business reviews and leadership updates. • Start from the outcome a client needs, such as faster turnaround, lower cost or fewer errors, and work backwards.

• Sit with client teams to learn how work really happens, including workarounds and unwritten steps. • Spot where AI and automation can change the game and where a person still needs to make the call. • Design new ways of working side by side with a forward deployed engineer. • Own the business case for each redesigned process, putting numbers on the value and setting up how it will be measured. • Turn designs into plans clear enough for engineering teams to build, then see them go live. • Run workshops, win over frontline staff and make the case to senior leaders. • Join early conversations with prospective clients and help shape proposals. • Turn project learnings into methods, tools and stories that make future engagements faster.
