Software Engineer, Release Engineering

• Join the Release Engineering team, which handles the continuous deployment of Mozilla’s products so they reach users efficiently and without interruption. • Help ship a security fix to more than 200 million users across different platforms and over 100 locales in under 24 hours. • Help optimise and maintain the build and deployment pipeline to give Firefox developers a faster, more reliable experience. • Write software that scales, since tens of thousands of tasks run to build, test, and release Firefox every day. • Work with a geographically distributed development team across North America and Europe. • Respond to critical service outages during normal working hours, with no on-call rotation required. • Work for a technology company wholly owned by the non-profit Mozilla Foundation, accountable to its mission rather than shareholders. • Work fully remote from the UK.

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related programme, or bring equivalent work experience. • Bring a minimum of 2 years working in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Python. • Bring a passion for CI/CD pipelines. • Bring some previous experience using cloud resources on AWS, GCP, or Azure. • Develop comfortably in Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, with shell scripting experience. • Bring experience working on a team distributed across time zones. • Enjoy getting familiar with and improving existing code bases and tools. • Commit to Mozilla’s values of welcoming differences, being relationship-minded, practising responsible participation, and having grit.
