About the role

💼 What you will do

• Join the Pre-Sales organisation and guide customers and users to design and build reliable, scalable systems using MongoDB’s data platform. • Work alongside seasoned technical sales professionals, software architects, entrepreneurs, and developers who take direct responsibility for customer success. • Take responsibility across the design of customers’ software, deployment, and operations. • Work closely with sales executives, helping customers solve business problems and playing a key role in winning deals. • Act as a trusted advisor to users ranging from startups to the world’s largest enterprise IT organisations. • Work on complex opportunities where analysis requires in-depth evaluation of many factors. • Be based in London for MongoDB’s hybrid working model, travelling up to 25%.

📋 Job Requirements

• Bring 5 to 8 years of related industry experience, ideally including 2 years in a customer facing role. • Bring a minimum of 2 years using modern scripting languages such as Python, Node.js, or SQL, or popular programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or C#, in a professional capacity. • Bring experience implementing scalable, highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-prem. • Review complex architecture of existing applications with customers and advise on how technology can improve it. • Present and communicate excellently, conveying complex technical and business concepts clearly to technology and business leadership. • Work with a cross-functional sales team to formulate and execute an end-to-end deal cycle. • Travel up to 25%. • Hold a bachelor’s degree or bring equivalent work experience.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Design scalable, performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects leveraging MongoDB. • Guide customers on architecture patterns and optimisation strategies while communicating the business value to relevant stakeholders. • Collaborate with the sales team on account planning, opportunity prioritisation and qualification, and pipeline generation strategy. • Take ownership of the technical aspects of deals, including technical discovery, demos, proof of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation. • Generate demand proactively within your sales territory through self-driven technical initiatives, industry trade shows, and account-based marketing events. • Foster strong customer relationships, build champions, and ensure customer success and satisfaction. • Seek opportunities to innovate and improve MongoDB solutions and processes, including relaying field feedback to the product team. • Mentor other Solutions Consulting team members proactively. • Engage in ongoing training to stay current with the MongoDB product suite and industry trends.
