Senior Consulting Engineer

• Join MongoDB Professional Services, working with customers of all sizes across every vertical, from tier-1 banks to small web startups. • Solve technically sophisticated problems while gaining cross-stack experience and networking with industry leaders. • Support the development of customers’ vision, accelerate their time to value, and drive adoption scenarios from building new solutions to modernising legacy applications or migrating to cloud. • Work as part of a wider delivery team alongside fellow consulting engineers, project managers, and account teams. • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to influence the direction of the MongoDB product roadmap. • Work remotely from Great Britain, with frequent short trips to customer sites during the working week.

• Bring 10+ years of software development, consulting, or support experience, preferably across a number of distinct industries and verticals. • Bring competence in at least one of Java, C#, Python, Node.js, Ruby, or Go. • Bring experience with databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL Server, or PostgreSQL. • Bring familiarity with Linux diagnostics and tuning. • Bring familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and software deployment and operations. • Bring excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills. • Bring high motivation for a role combining deep technical work with customer management. • Speak and present confidently in a collaborative customer setting. • Travel frequently for short trips to customer sites during the working week, up to 15%. • Bring experience working with public sector customers.
