Credit Hire Handler

• Join Marshmallow’s Settlement team as a Credit Hire Handler, working hybrid with the team meeting in London once every two weeks. • Manage third party damage and credit hire claims for fair, efficient and commercially sound outcomes. • Work with policyholders, witnesses, third party insurers and wider claims teams. • Investigate claims and assess liability and indemnity with strong judgement. • Keep cases moving with clear, empathetic communication. • Join a team built for more autonomy, more pace and more chances to improve how claims work.

• Bring hands-on experience managing Credit Hire and Third Party Property Damage claims. • Challenge hire periods, rates and credit hire agreements confidently. • Negotiate settlements confidently by phone and email. • Understand relevant case law and discuss liability and indemnity decisions with confidence. • Set reserves and process payments within authority levels, making sound independent decisions. • Manage a varied caseload at pace with strong prioritisation. • Balance commercial judgement with a customer-focused approach.

• Bring experience with specialist credit hire claims such as taxis or motorbikes. • Show experience identifying recovery opportunities on third party claims. • Bring experience improving claims processes or ways of working. • Show experience working at a fast-growing insurtech.

• Manage a portfolio of TPPD and Credit Hire claims efficiently. • Triage and route inbound communications to resolve claims on time. • Investigate liability and indemnity with policyholders, witnesses and third parties. • Keep policyholders informed throughout their claim journey. • Set and maintain claim reserves and process payments. • Keep detailed notes on the claims system explaining actions and next steps. • Communicate professionally with customers and third party representatives.
