Complex Credit Hire Handler

• Join Marshmallow’s Third Party Claims team as a Complex Credit Hire Handler, working hybrid with the team meeting in London once every two weeks. • Own a varied portfolio of Third Party Property Damage and Credit Hire claims. • Handle specialist credit hire claims, including taxi and motorbike hire. • Investigate liability and indemnity, set accurate reserves and negotiate settlements. • Support fair, efficient claims outcomes and strong loss-ratio performance. • Keep policyholders informed with clear, empathetic communication.

• Bring hands-on experience managing Credit Hire and Third Party Property Damage claims. • Challenge hire periods, rates and credit hire agreements confidently. • Show experience handling credit hire claims for specialist vehicles such as taxis and motorbikes. • Negotiate settlements confidently by phone and email. • Understand relevant case law and discuss liability and indemnity decisions with confidence. • Set reserves and process payments within authority levels, making sound independent decisions. • Manage a varied caseload at pace with strong prioritisation.

• Bring experience identifying recovery opportunities on third party claims. • Show experience improving claims processes or ways of working. • Bring experience working at a fast-growing insurtech. • Show experience supporting wider team goals beyond your own caseload.

• Manage a portfolio of TPPD and Credit Hire claims efficiently. • Apply the correct rates, hire periods and agreements on specialist vehicle claims. • Triage and route inbound communications to resolve claims on time. • Investigate liability and indemnity with policyholders, witnesses and third parties. • Set and maintain claim reserves and process payments. • Keep detailed notes on the claims system explaining actions and next steps. • Communicate professionally with customers and third party representatives.
