Senior Solution Architect

• Use your understanding of Engine’s technology and architecture to explain the product, uncover client requirements, and support the design of client solutions. • Work across both the sales and delivery phases of a project as well as ongoing client success. • Collaborate with teams across Technology, Delivery, Product, Client Success, and Business Development. • Become an Engine expert, communicating its capabilities and value to technical and non-technical audiences alike. • Lead technical designs during the implementation phase, building relationships with client and SI partner engineering leads and service owners. • Act as technical champion for existing clients, taking ownership of the technical side of deliveries. • Shape Engine’s product roadmap and help existing clients maximise its current and future capabilities. • Work hybrid from London, with travel around Europe and occasional further afield.

• Bring experience of end-to-end software engineering or solution architecture across the software delivery lifecycle. • Bring experience with software service design and integration, including RESTful APIs, the OpenAPI specification, and sequence diagrams. • Bring experience of cloud infrastructure and large-scale cloud applications. • Bring experience in a client-facing role, building relationships with stakeholders. • Bring strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills, delivering complex messaging to technical and non-technical audiences. • Speak fluent English plus at least one relevant regional European language, ideally French or Spanish. • Work well with people across levels, roles, and technical backgrounds. • Focus on delivery and getting things done for the client. • Travel nationally to the London office, including an initial upskilling period with the engineering and product teams. • Travel internationally as the role requires.

• Bring experience relating to retail or business banking, core banking, card processing, or payments. • Bring experience delivering core banking or large-scale digital transformation programmes, application migration, and solution integration. • Bring commercial acumen and experience building business cases. • Bring experience in a SaaS organisation in a client solutions or client engineering role. • Bring knowledge of financial regulations around the world. • Speak multiple European languages, which is a massive plus.

• Lead on technical designs during the Engine implementation phase. • Work with clients and SI partners on the technical detail of implementing Engine, providing solutions to identified requirements. • Work with Product and engineering teams to fulfil those requirements. • Document scope and roadmap decisions meticulously to guide subsequent delivery waves. • Take ownership of the technical aspects of client deliveries, working with SI partners to overcome challenges and achieve seamless integrations. • Provide expert guidance to client engineering teams using documentation, API specifications, and sequence diagrams. • Collaborate with the Client Success team to troubleshoot technical issues and translate client needs into new technical requirements. • Architect innovative solutions that enhance the Engine platform. • Contribute to shaping Engine’s product roadmap.
