Senior Ethics and Compliance Manager

• Join Cloudflare’s legal team as Senior Ethics and Compliance Manager for the EMEA region, based in London. • Execute the day-to-day nuts and bolts of legal compliance across EMEA. • Cover internal investigations, conflicts of interest disclosures, gifts and entertainment reviews, and legal and compliance training. • Project manage cross-functional compliance initiatives. • Help build systems and processes that leverage AI so the team can do its best work. • Contribute to a next generation compliance programme that uses AI to scale routine tasks, freeing the team for proactive culture work. • Solve complex problems and novel legal issues in a fast-paced environment where the legal team clears the road for global innovation rather than just managing risk. • Work from London on a hybrid basis.

• Bring 8+ years of compliance and investigative experience. • Bring experience building and designing compliance frameworks. • Bring enthusiasm for finding ways to implement and leverage AI in compliance functions. • Bring experience conducting and participating in complex investigations and witness interviews. • Bring experience managing conflicts of interest through to resolution. • Bring general familiarity with the process and requirements of disciplinary hearings in EMEA. • Work detail-oriented, well-organised, and technically adept. • Communicate excellently in writing and in person. • Work cross-functionally with lawyers and non-lawyers across engineering, sales, and product teams to reach effective solutions amenably. • Manage multiple matters and projects at once. • Learn fast with minimal supervision as a self-starter. • Bring experience delivering in-person or virtual trainings and workshops.

• Bring experience from an in-house legal department, which is preferred. • Bring experience at a tech company, especially as part of a compliance team, which is a huge plus. • Speak multiple languages, which counts as a bonus. • Bring familiarity with Google Suite and Navex tools including EthicsPoint, RiskRate, and Disclosures. • Bring experience designing regional training content and measuring its effectiveness. • Spot problems everyone else has normalised and build a solution with the latest tools.

• Support the internal investigations programme, managing case files, conducting witness interviews, collecting supporting documentation, and drafting final reports. • Help design and implement policies and controls that protect customers and employees while satisfying legal obligations. • Assist with the conflict of interest disclosure process, reviewing and approving potential employee conflicts and gift and entertainment requests. • Assist with administering the compliance training and education programme, including regional content design, audience identification, and effectiveness measurement. • Execute a regular integrity and compliance communications strategy within the region. • Project manage a variety of cross-functional compliance initiatives. • Take on additional responsibilities as the compliance programme flexes to support the legal team in a dynamic environment.
