
Treasury IRRBB Analyst: Reporting Analytics
About the role
💼 What you will do
• Join the expanding IRRBB team within Treasury in a critical, hands-on role building an accurate view of all the risks that guides strategic decisions and keeps Starling safe and thriving. • Be instrumental in producing internal and regulatory IRRBB reporting from the bank's ALM system. • Work within a Treasury team that manages the bank's rapidly growing balance sheet, responsible for liquidity, funding, IRRBB, and structural risks.
📋 Job Requirements
• Be a problem solver with the ability and motivation to investigate issues independently. • Be outcome-focused with an ability to see problems through to resolution. • Be able to anticipate risks and issues early and act decisively to address them. • Be able to manage competing priorities whilst keeping sight of the big picture and driving towards an end goal. • Have good communication and documentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. • Have good attention to detail. • Have an intuitive understanding of IRRBB and how these risks are generated within a retail bank. • Have an intuitive understanding of credit ratings, asset-backed structures, and how underlying collateral performance drives risk. • Have experience of data handling and manipulation within Excel, SQL, and ideally Python. • Have experience in identifying and improving controls. • Have experience in developing and improving regular processes and tools.
🌟 Nice-to-have
• Hold graduate-level education, ideally in a numerical degree. • Have experience using an ALM system to generate IRRBB risk metrics. • Have familiarity with GitHub and databases.
🎯 Responsibilities
• Produce internal and regulatory IRRBB reporting from the bank's ALM system. • Ensure all reporting output is complete, accurate, and timely. • Design and run the processes for production of the bank's risk reporting. • Support development of ETL code and processes upstream of the ALM system. • Build controls and checks on upstream data feeds and on ALM system outputs. • Investigate and resolve any errors within the reported figures. • Create tools to perform calculations where reporting takes place outside of the system. • Develop tools to process system output prior to presentation to stakeholders.
