Analytics Engineering Team Lead (Fraud & AML)

• Bring an extensive analytics engineering background with expert SQL and data modelling. • Show hands-on experience building tested, maintainable models with dbt or similar. • Use Looker or a comparable BI tool confidently. • Show a track record of managing and developing analytics engineers. • Bring strong project management skills and prioritise incoming work well. • Communicate and document clearly. • Understand data governance and risk management. • Live within commuting distance of a Starling office.

• Bring experience with fraud, AML or financial crime data. • Show experience in a regulated financial services environment. • Bring experience with cloud data warehouses and CI/CD. • Use Git and peer-review workflows.

• Manage and develop a team of analytics engineers. • Understand and prioritise key business needs with stakeholders. • Own and improve a large analytics estate. • Lead and deliver multiple workstreams end to end. • Deliver quarterly priorities alongside standing work and ad hoc requests. • Maintain regular Fraud and AML reporting. • Support data science and ML model development and monitoring.
