💼 What you will do

• Bring expertise in cross-border transfers to collaborate with first-line FinCrime teams in building safe, effective controls. • Work closely with stakeholders across the first and second lines in multiple jurisdictions, ensuring rigorous due diligence, risk-based decision-making, and continuous oversight of banking partners.

📋 Job Requirements

• Have 8+ years of experience in a correspondent banking related role, conducting and documenting enhanced due diligence reviews on financial institutions. • Have a deep understanding of global AML/CFT and sanctions standards such as FATF, EU AMLDs, OFAC, and Wolfsberg principles. • Have experience evaluating FinCrime policies, procedures, and processes, including transaction monitoring, screening, fraud prevention and detection, and customer onboarding. • Demonstrate solid analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgement in risk-based decision making. • Have excellent written communication and presentation skills, including experience writing formal risk assessments and recommendations.

🌟 Nice-to-have

• Hold professional qualifications such as CAMS, ICA Diploma in AML, or CFCS. • Have in-depth knowledge of risk exposures arising from nested correspondent banking arrangements. • Bring strong data analytics skills using SQL, Python, or similar to detect patterns in transaction data and enhance risk profiling. • Have experience with system optimisation, defining functional requirements for KYC/AML tools, TM systems, and sanction screening solutions. • Have experience working with multi-jurisdictional teams, regulators, and legal environments.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Lead the financial crime risk assessment and advisory process for onboarding partners. • Maintain relationships with banking partners, including setting functional requirements for financial crime systems and controls. • Review and challenge the AML/CFT frameworks of prospective and existing banking partners against internal standards and risk appetite. • Assess and document customer due diligence, ownership structures, control frameworks, and expected fund flows. • Establish and embed processes for ongoing monitoring, including periodic reviews, trigger event assessments, and transactional risk profiling. • Draft and present written risk assessments and recommendations to relevant committees for onboarding and continued engagement decisions. • Monitor and interpret relevant regulatory and typology developments such as FATF, Wolfsberg, and Travel Rule to inform controls and processes. • Maintain detailed, audit-ready documentation in internal systems and provide support during audits or regulatory inquiries.
