Senior Security Engineer - SecOps

• Join Mozilla’s Security team within Infrastructure as a Senior Security Engineer in SecOps, working fully remotely from the UK or Europe. • Monitor and mitigate attacks across Mozilla’s products and services as an incident responder. • Act as incident commander, driving incidents through the full response lifecycle. • Build alerts, automations and playbooks that support a 24/7 incident response capability. • Hunt for threats and stay ahead of sophisticated threat actors. • Help keep Firefox users safe at a company dedicated to building a more secure internet.

• Bring 5+ years of experience managing security incidents at global scale, or working in a SOC, PSIRT or CSIRT. • Show expertise with SIEM systems such as ELK, Google BigQuery or Splunk. • Bring hands-on experience with leading EDR tools and using endpoint telemetry to find root causes. • Show expertise with SOAR platforms such as Tines or Splunk SOAR. • Communicate and lead effectively across diverse company stakeholders. • Bring real-world experience in software development or engineering operations for consumer products. • Show practical experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS or Azure. • Take part in an on-call rotation.

• Show proficiency with Splunk. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a technology-focused field. • Bring threat hunting and threat intelligence experience. • Show experience acting as an incident commander for major security incidents.

• Identify and respond to security incidents on a global scale. • Act as incident commander from detection through to post-mortem. • Design and maintain security alerts, automated actions, playbooks and escalation workflows. • Conduct threat hunting and plan tools, technology and processes to counter sophisticated attackers. • Research threat intelligence reports and manage resulting workflows. • Partner with stakeholders to keep improving preparation, containment and post-mortem activities. • Take part in the team’s on-call rotation.
