Senior Product Designer

About the role

💼 What you will do

• Own the end-to-end design experience across the Marketplace product, the journey families take when searching, comparing and finding care for a loved one. • Shape an emotionally complex, high-stakes experience where design is one of the primary ways Lottie earns trust at every step. • Work with your Product Manager and Engineering lead as a genuine co-creator, shaping problem definition rather than just executing briefs. • Bring strong craft and sharp product instinct as someone moving toward lead level who wants the ownership that comes with it. • Work hybrid from the London Bridge office with two core office days per week.

📋 Job Requirements

• Bring 4-6+ years of product design experience, ideally across marketplace, platform or strong B2C products. • Get genuinely excited about using AI to move faster in prototyping and iteration without letting it flatten your craft or replace your thinking. • Engage with problems before reaching for solutions, working with your PM rather than downstream of them. • Present design decisions with clarity and rationale, showing what you considered, what you ruled out and why. • Bring a portfolio that shows both craft rigour and systemic thinking, with visual language work alongside complex UX problem-solving. • Take the care domain seriously, even without a background in it. • Stay ambitious and moving toward lead, wanting ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do.

🌟 Nice-to-have

• Bring direct experience designing marketplace, platform or B2C products in a high-growth startup. • Be comfortable with PMs prototyping and designers using AI tools to make changes directly in the product. • Enjoy contributing patterns and components to a design system that scale beyond your own workstream.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design quality of Marketplace across search, results, listings, comparison and enquiry flows. • Partner with your PM from problem inception, shaping briefs, challenging assumptions and bringing evidence to product decisions. • Work across a high-stakes domain where accessibility, trust signals, information hierarchy and emotional context are all live design problems. • Solve hard information hierarchy problems, deciding what families actually need to see from dense care home profiles and when. • Use AI tooling to prototype and iterate faster without flattening your craft. • Contribute patterns and components to the design system that scale beyond your own work stream.

About Lottie

📊 Lottie at a glance

🚀 Why Join - Our Take

Lottie is solving one of the UK's most pressing social challenges: helping families navigate the stressful, confusing process of finding later life care. Founded by two brothers out of their own frustrating experience, Lottie has grown from a half-broken website launched to meet an investor deadline into the UK's highest-rated care-finding service, backed by Accel and General Catalyst, early backers of companies like Airbnb, Meta, and Spotify. The company has raised more than £25 million, reached 10 million users, and now has a team of 70+ people. Glassdoor tells a remarkable story: 4.9/5 from 27 reviews, with 100% of employees recommending it to a friend. Reviewers consistently highlight the team's kindness, mission-driven culture, and clear career progression. Lottie also offers genuinely good benefits for a startup: private healthcare via Bupa, EMI share options, a 3-night digital detox through Unplugged, 26 days holiday (increasing with tenure), and work-from-anywhere for up to 3 weeks per year. The main thing to be aware of is that this is a fast-paced startup environment with ambitious targets, which some reviewers note is not for everyone. But if you want to do meaningful work that directly helps families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, while working alongside genuinely kind and talented people, Lottie is a brilliant place to do that.

😃 What Lottie offers

• Earn a base salary of £72,500–£92,500 depending on experience, plus a generous EMI share offering. • Take 26 days of holiday on top of bank holidays. • Work hybrid from the London Bridge office with two core office days per week. • Own the design of a product that matters, with a clear path toward lead as you grow. • Join a Series A startup backed by Accel, General Catalyst and Kindred with a 5/5 Glassdoor score.

💖 What makes Lottie unique

Founded in London in 2021, Lottie is changing how the UK finds, manages and pays for care, replacing a sector still run largely on pen, paper and phone calls. Over 10 million people have used its platform and 1,000+ care homes run on its software. It has raised over £25m from Accel, General Catalyst and Kindred, and its products span the Lottie marketplace, Found CRM software, Seniorcare and Eliza AI agents.

💬 What employees say

"Smart, driven, and kind colleagues who genuinely want to make a difference. There's a real culture of honest feedback, but it's done thoughtfully in a way that helps you grow.
