Go Developer - AI & ML

• Join Civo’s Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning team in a fully remote role within an international team. • Help build the best Kubernetes-first, innovative virtualization platform around. • Build and maintain the Civo services that touch AI and machine learning. • Improve existing services such as Civo Kubeflow as a Service. • Work on entirely new machine learning as a service products, including Civo Vision. • Build on the foundations laid by the CivoStack and Kubernetes teams. • Work a four-day week with uncapped holiday.

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or bring proven professional experience. • Bring 4+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in Go. • Bring proven experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. • Show proven experience deploying machine learning solutions. • Bring experience developing Kubernetes Operators. • Bring experience with API design and development principles, particularly RESTful APIs. • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

• Bring experience working in asynchronous agile software teams. • Bring experience building and training machine learning models. • Bring experience building applications using WebSockets. • Bring 2+ years of experience in Python or R. • Bring familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems. • Bring experience with web frameworks such as Gorilla, Gin, or Echo. • Bring experience working in fully remote organisations.

• Develop and maintain scalable, efficient Go code for the machine learning components of the Civo Cloud Platform. • Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability through comprehensive testing and optimisation. • Use concurrency patterns such as goroutines and channels to optimise performance. • Work with designers, product managers, and engineers to turn requirements into technical solutions. • Improve team performance by refactoring, optimising, and documenting code. • Take part in code reviews and give constructive feedback. • Keep up with the latest Go language trends, libraries, and tools. • Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues.
