Senior Machine Learning Engineer / Tech Lead - AI & ML

• Join as a Senior Engineer and Tech Lead bringing new Machine Learning products to life on the Civo cloud platform, working with cutting-edge technology across AI, Kubernetes, virtualisation, and cloud computing. • Lead the development of scalable ML components with opportunities to contribute to open-source projects and participate at industry conferences around the world. • Work in a fully remote, international team building the best Kubernetes-first platform with a four-day work week and uncapped holiday.

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or proven related professional experience. • Bring 4+ years of professional experience developing, deploying, and optimising Machine Learning solutions. • Have 2+ years of running large applications and systems in production environments. • Demonstrate 2+ years of experience with containerisation technologies including Docker and Kubernetes. • Show proven experience training Machine Learning Models of any modality. • Have experience building and designing Machine Learning Pipelines or workflows including MLOps. • Bring experience managing complex Kubernetes deployments and scaling GPU Machine Learning deployments and GPU clusters. • Have experience leading complex software development projects. • Communicate strongly in both written and verbal form.

• Hold experience in software development management or leadership roles. • Bring experience using Machine Learning monitoring tools. • Show experience enforcing coding standards and practices. • Have experience working in asynchronous agile software teams. • Demonstrate experience working in fully remote organisations. • Bring experience with open-source Machine Learning projects.

• Manage the development and maintenance of scalable, efficient code for the Machine Learning components of the Civo Cloud Platform. • Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability through comprehensive testing and optimisation. • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions. • Improve team performance through implementing best practices, refactoring, optimising, and improving documentation. • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative environment. • Stay up to date with the latest Machine Learning trends, libraries, and tools. • Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues.
